This year’s Birkie 4 Belize was a success! Even though the official American Birkebeiner ski marathon was cancelled due to the lack of snow, the spirit of the Birkie was as strong as ever. Julie and Steve still skied “Birkie South” in Theresa and our faithful support team cheered us on. Ces Flowers, our YouCan Missions friend and co-founder from Belize, was even there. Thankfully the Birkie 4 Belize fundraiser is more about Belize than about the skiing.
YouCan Missions wants to say thank you to the many of you who donated to the 2017 Birkie 4 Belize to support mission efforts in Belize. Almost $2000 was raised to help ship shoes and other much-needed supplies to Belize, create more classroom space at a school, provide scholarships for school, and support other educational efforts.
